Today we would like to show how some of our Hangar Covers work for our customers.
We have by enlarge ignored hangar covers, except for a very brief toe tester back when we started. For many hangar covers simply aren't on thier radar, after all they are not an essential like say an outdoor cover is when you don't have access to hangarage.

So for years ourselves and other company's have sidelined the not infrequent requests for a set of covers to keep thier pride and joys clean and readily accessible for quick departures and save all that cleaning. It surprised us when we heard from one particular customer down in Dallas that thier aircraft get really dirty in the hangars for all kinds of reasons - it is not just here in the UK where the condensation, dust, insect and bird mess undoes a good mornings polishing.

We know alot of us simply throw old sheets or blankets over the aircraft, but they hold moisture, alot of dirt and grow mildew and mould with time, all this sits against the airframe and then on removal they can pick up even more dirt, plus they are more often than not very bulky. A light weight hangar cover stows away small and is easy to take on and off with the added security of straps if its pushed outside during the day.
These covers though are not dual purpose, they cannot withstand too much exposure to the outdoor elements and were never designed to do so either. They have very few straps which are light weight and the Polyester material which is a microfleece cloth cannot take the UV for too long. But what it does do is cosset the airframe in a lightweight and breathable soft lining thats easy to wipe clean.
Below is a PDF of the Wessex Strut Newsletter in which the editor decided to give a set of our hangar covers a go...
